I'm god awful at these type of games but I found myself having fun.. Great game, very well made with a nice style. Too bad I am too bad at it and jump and runs aren't really my thing.. If you enjoy platformers at all, please do not be scared away by the graphics. I initially played for a very short period of time and felt like the game was as simple as the graphics; it was an ok game that I didn't care that much about. I went back to the game after I read about the switch port on IGN, and am I ever glad I did. This is a GREAT platformer with a ton of content, and AMAZING variation of level mechanics. There are so many levels to master and free updates that include even more content. Even the scenes in between levels are interesting and enjoyable, with some pretty funny (but subtle) references and jokes. All in all it is actually my favorite meatboy-like since, well, Super Meatboy. Great game!. really cool game, fun little platformer, reminds me of super meat boy!. I feel like playing super meat boy again, this time with some time limits and little extras like dashing. Greatg game, 100% recomended for those who like hard platformers (super meat boy, VVVVV, etc). Slime-san is an amazing game, you need to escape a giant worm that eat you!. A Meat Boy-alike that for some reason nobody seemed to notice, myself included, until it got its Switch port. I'd still hold Meat Boy as the better game (potentially catastrophic bugginess aside), but if you like most people have long since exhausted that game's replay value then this one's worth checking out. The low-fi graphical style, while somewhat messy in places and clearly more of a crutch than a stylistic choice, does at the very least communicate hazards well at a glance by painting them all red. You get a phase move and a dash which allows for a bit more variety, and they're put to generally smart use in the levels -- of which there's already been one free content pack released, with another on the way.The two biggest strikes against it are a general lack of levels larger than a single screen, and the hitboxes between two rapidly moving objects can be unreliable; dashing into moving platforms or trying to squeeze by mobile hazards can produce quite varied and frustrating results. It’s been a crazy, awesome week for us! It’s amazing seeing our community grow with such passionate fans and needless to say, some of your speedrunning times are absolutely mind blowing!In other cool news: We got some more informative bug reports in our forums and trello and are happy to announce that we pushed out another hotfix!Patch Notes (1.0.3) Bug Fixes Uvula Boss: Reset issues and NG+ loop have been fixed. Heart Boss: All red fingers hurt you now and platforms reset correctly. Mama Worm: The final cutscene can’t infinitely loop anymore and all reset/death issues have been fixed. Can’t overflow leaderboards anymore and level 1-08 times have been reset. Sheeple coin is now properly shown as collected in the level endplate. NG+ selection resets properly in level select after switching in from normal mode. Level skip states now get removed after successfully completing the skipped level and the level skipper can no longer be accessed when the game is completed. The camera no longer pans across rooms after a reset when zoomed in. Missile launchers now have their timer reset after death. All playstyles now work correctly in gravity flip zones. Apple only speedruns now properly check for the 4th apple in each level. You can no longer quit during target mode challenges to beat them. Kawaii-san can now be used during the Mama Worm fight and remains floaty in fans. Some spelling errors in Settings have been corrected. Slime-san and Birdie clothing no longer share the same buying slots. The world 5 master achievement now properly checks for its completion state. Music no longer remains lowered after pausing in the test room.
